Channel Marketing Specialist

Role
As a Channel Marketing Specialist, you will assist with implementing the North America Sophos partner marketing strategy to meet business goals. Reporting to the Channel Marketing Manager and working closely with the Channel Sales team, you will provide input into the strategic direction, and execute on the requirements of the channel program.
This position is responsible for executing marketing programs and sales enablement efforts to drive sales of Sophos security products through our established Value Added Reseller (VAR) network.
Sophos North America follows a 100% channel strategy. The program has been recognized with numerous awards including VARBusiness ARC Company of the Year - Security Software 2007, VARBusiness - 5-Gold Star Partner Program 2008, and CRN Channel Chief 2008.
Main duties
- Create and implement innovative lead generation and sales enablement programs to enable channel partners to be successful acquiring customers and selling Sophos solutions to enterprise customers
- Work with a select group of Sophos partners to develop marketing programs designed to increase "sell through"
- Monitor, measure, and report program investments and results
- Maintain Sophos Deal Registration and Lead Distribution system and provide reporting of partner activity and results. Provide insight and solutions for corrective action when requried
- Create and manage partner incentive programs
- Keep up-to-date on the Sophos portfolio and provide recommendations to develop partner programs to increase partner generated business
- Provide input into the Sophos Partner newsletter and other partner communications
- Manage day-to-day relationships with vendors and agencies ensuring project objectives are met. Participate in negotiation and selection process of agencies/vendors
- Manage individual project expenses against agreed upon budget
- Manage collateral inventory and fulfillment as it pertains to channel marketing collateral
- Assist with the execution of all channel marketing activities on an as-needed basis
- Work closely with other members of the channel marketing team to ensure alignment
Experience and skills
- 3-5 years of channel marketing/product marketing experience with a high tech product
- Post-secondary education in Marketing
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of networking/security industries and products a plus
- Knowledge of CRM system a plus
